CBS gives us an in-depth view of the
houseguests, plus an interview with Julie Chen. This video is all
about the houseguests and the twist. "But when they walk into the
Big Brother house this time, they're going to get the surprise of their
lifetime... a permanent teammate... They are being forced to play this
game as a pair."
CBS Interactive has released several online
videos promoting Big Brother 9. Allison Grodner confirms that love
and relationships will have a major twist on the game. Also below,
CBS uploaded video of the sauna in the old gym-room. The video isn't
supposed to be released yet, apparently.
TMZ TV featured a story last night on Parker.
He works for TMZ. Harvey Levin jokes "I guess he won't be coming to
work tomorrow." TMZ also says that the houseguests move in today,
Thursday the 7th. Video below courtesy of TMZ.

As we are first to report, CBS has released a
video introduction to all of the houseguests, hosted by none other than
Janelle. Along with the video (below) is the following press
released with tidbits of information on the twist.
Love Is In The Air As An All-New "Big Brother" Creative Twist
Is Revealed
CBS today revealed the
identities of the 16 Houseguests who will compete in BIGBROTHER, as well as the new creative twist that will play
out during the first-ever winter edition, which premieres Tuesday, Feb.
12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).
This season marks other BIG BROTHER firsts, including the first-ever
all-single cast and the most Houseguests in BIG BROTHER history.
When this group of 16 singles enters the house, they will be told they are
being matched up with their "soul mate," a stranger who may prove to be
their true love or their worst nightmare. Whether there is a love
connection or not, once paired up, the Houseguests' life in the game
depends on their partner. They must strategize, plot and scheme
together as a couple for a chance at the prize. These "lovebirds"
will live together as a couple meaning they will sleep in the same bed,
hold Head of Household as a couple, be nominated for eviction as a pair,
and if the time comes, say their goodbyes together upon eviction.
Julie Chen gave us a behind the scenes look at
this seasons contestants. She also sat down with Allison Grodner,
Executive Producer, to talk about the soul mate twist. The
houseguests filled out love match profiles. After moving in the
house, the sixteen singles will discover the perfect love match is sitting
next to them. Their time in the house depends on this person as they
will compete together and be evicted together if they're not careful.
There will be gay men in the house. They won't all be heterosexual
couples.
As we first posted this morning, commercials
featuring the soul mate twist have started to air on CBS. For this
mornings commercial, please scroll down. Here is the second
commercial to air on CBS with this information, this time featuring Julie
Chen.
In this week's edition of TVGuide, Kimberly
Caldwell spends a day in the Big Brother house, deemed season 8.5.
To kick off the ninth season of Big Brother,
CBS invited eight members of the media to experience life in the house for
12 hours. We sent TV Guide Network's Kimberly Caldwell, co-host of
Idol Tonight and Reality Chat...
... Little cameras are everywhere except in
the 2-by-2 toilet, where they have a microphone dropped down from above...
The producers wanted us to do the equivalent of a full wee of BB, so we
had the HOH and POV competitions, and an eviction.... For the POV, they
filled the backyard with haystacks, and we had to find these giant pieces
of eggshell and put together a puzzle...
More of Kimberly Caldwell's article can be
found on the shelves in this week's edition of TV Guide.
Commercials airing on CBS state that the
producers have "matched each houseguest with a soul mate... they'll
compete together... and if they're not careful, be evicted together."

The Insider send one of their reporters in the
house to see what it is really like to live inside. They released
the video one their website. These are the first pictures to emerge
from the Big Brother house.
The house definitely has a winter cabin feel.
It features a real tree or trees in the diary room. The living room
has a very warm and cozy feeling. Julie's studio features a triangle
log cabin feel as the houseguests enter the house.

Commercials have started to air on CBS saying
that 16 houseguests will be moving into the house. Commercials have
previously stated that there will be 14. It is likely that CBS is
planning on this to be the longest Big Brother season to date.
WeLoveBigBrother.com has heard that the current planned finale date is
Tuesday, May 6th, but it subject to change.
Sources tell WeLoveBigBrother.com that Big
Brother 9 will last 12 weeks instead of the rumored 6 week stint.

full season. Sources tell WLBB the reality show will last the full
three month season. Early speculation suggested the new winter
season would only last six weeks. Big Brother 9 premiers February
12th on CBS and is scheduled to end early May.

information is available at this time, but she will be talking about Big
Brother 9.
In a commercial that has started to air, CBS

usually the number in the past.
CBS and Showtime have announced that Big
Brother: After Dark will return for Big Brother 9. Starting on
February 12th at 12am ET/PT, viewers will be able to tune into SHO2 to see
a live three-hour feed for the Big Brother's first winter edition.
CBS Press Release: "Big Brother:
After Dark will feature a live television feed from the "Big Brother"
house for three hours (12:00-3:00 AM, ET/PT), seven days a week, on the
cable network's SHO2 multiplex
channel beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT.
The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of
Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
"Big Brother: After Dark was a big
success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on
SHO2. This began as an experiment with our friends at
Endemol and CBS, and I'm happy that it worked so well for all of us," said
Greenblatt. "I'm amazed at how much curiosity there is about what
goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better
place to present that than on SHOWTIME where we have a lot of on-air real
estate in the wee hours of the morning."
