An interesting bit about the HOH room

Posted: 07/03/2007 04:48 PM  |  Posted by Matt

WeLoveBigBrother.com has discovered some interesting information about this year's Head of Household bedroom.

According to this exclusive video only on WLBB, on premiere night the HOH room will not serve as the HOH room.

"I definitely can't show you anything right now, cause it looks nothing like the HOH room," Julie said in the video. "And that's because on premiere night, it doesn't serve that purpose. Why? You'll have to tune in to find out."

Could this mean it's being used for a competition or yet another twist to the game?

Allison Grodner talks about BB8 and rumors

Posted: 07/02/2007 09:30 PM  |  Posted by Matt

WeLoveBigBrother.com spoke with Big Brother 8 executive producer Allison Grodner Monday about the new season of houseguests and fun.

Like many Big Brother fanatics, Grodner eats, sleeps and even dreams about the show.

"This is the time where they start invading all my dreams," Grodner joked.

Grodner also took some time to explain and clarify this year's twists.

She said many of the houseguests will walk into the house Thursday to find someone they are not fond of, whether it be an enemy, a rival or someone they have unfinished business. However she did say that not everyone in the house will have this happen to them.

Grodner also talked about the "America's Player" twist. She said this individual has already been selected by the show's producers.

"We chose someone who we felt could pull this off," she explained. "This is a daunting challenge because it's a secret to the rest of the houseguests and yet this person will have to balance their own sort of strategy and stay in the house as long as they can while possibly making some erratic moves that the viewers have him or her make."

She added, just like last year's coup de-tat, we can expect more twists to come down the road.

Grodner also addressed the latest internet rumors swirling about a female houseguest named Samantha. Samantha was seen on TV Guide during an interview with this year's cast, leaving some to believe she was the 15th houseguest.

"We always have alternates each year," Grodner said. "So it's something where there's always an extra person and since we don't know till just before the move in to the big brother house exactly if the alternate will make it in or not, sometimes they put the alternate out there and release the alternate to the press."

Thanks to Allison Grodner for the interview.

Possible connection between Dick and Daniele

Posted: 06/28/2007 03:46 PM  |  Posted by Matt

As first reported by RealityBBQ.com, Dick and Daniele may be the first enemy pair to be identified.

Dick wrote on his MySpace account that he has not been a great dad.

"My daughter hasn't spoken to me for about a quarter of her life," he wrote. "Part her fault, part mine... but, yes... I am the adult, well now we both are, but point is made. We have, or she has always had a love hate relationship with me. I think she gets me, but she doesn't. Is that her fault? I am ****** up, how is she supposed to get that? How is she supposed to understand that? She has been an adolescent teenage girl, she is now 20, how am I supposed to get that?"

It was also discovered that Dick commented on Daniele's MySpace account, writing "I miss my dog and hate your Grandparents too............."

Below is also a picture of Dick and his daughter. Is this Daniele?

BB casting director speaks with WLBB

Posted: 06/26/2007 06:04 PM  |  Posted by Matt

Big Brother 8 casting director Robin Kass spoke with WLBB Tuesday and cleared up some pre-season rumors and speculation.
While she was limited in what she could answer, she did her best to address all of our questions.

Kass said first, while she does not know exactly what day Big Brother 8 information will be released to the public, she did confirm it would be sometime this week.

"It should happen within the next few days I'm guessing," she said. "But I couldn't tell you at this moment exactly the day and time it's going to happen."

She also addressed the rumored cast list that hit the web Saturday saying that it was completely false.

"The list that I saw, there was no one on the cast in that list and I didn't recognize any of the names on there," she said. "So I hadn't interviewed any of those people and as far as I'm concerned it was 100 percent false from beginning to end."

In an interview with Live Wire, Big Brother casting director Robyn Kass said the rumored houseguest list hitting the web is a fake.

"I find the internet very amusing," Kass said. "No one on our cast is listed here and I never even interviewed any of these people. [It is] completely made up, but interesting!"

Rumored BB8 cast list and twist hits the web

Posted: 06/23/2007 12:22 PM  |  Posted by Matt

A user at TVGrapevine.com claims that they have discovered the names of the houseguests this year, but has offered no identifying proof.  The user also says that some of these people know each other from high-school. Again, this is just the latest speculation. Stay in check for more!

Information on speculated BB8 cast:

Tara Bourke - young good looking has an extremely nice body --- youngest houseguest
Tiffany Dalton - oldish black woman
Rodger (No last name) - older Asian male. Teacher at some school.
Carol Ricardi - older woman (mother figure)
Gabby Ngyugen - young Asian girl. huge smile.
Amanda Adams - late twenties blonde woman. looks like some celebrity. Former cheerleader apparently?
Mitchell “Mitchy” Vance- Good looking younger male.
Robby Williams or Wallace - young very young. apparently is apart of some organization group for gay teens.?
Jared Pfifer - good looking....Spanish?
David Mertz - Good looking man in his forties
Andi (no last name) - blonde girl early twenties

Melanie (no last name) - no information. I’m not even sure if she was a final houseguest as she had no number just a name and a location where she lives. Florida.
Unidentified male - Couldn’t find anything about this guy (possibly no 14th houseguest?) There was a blank spot for him on the sheet with a number....but nothing else.

No Marcellas on House Calls

Posted: 06/15/2007 12:56 PM  |  Posted by Matt

Marcellas has announced that he will not be a host on House Calls, CBS.com's BB talkshow, this year.

Due to budget cuts @ CBS Interactive, a format change & my increasingly busy TV and fashion career, I will not be returning as host of House Calls. House Calls was created 4 years ago with me in mind. It is a show that I am tremendously proud to have been a part of. I not only hosted it but helped to produce it. As a part of the Big Brother, family I am honored to have worked on it and have been so closely identified with it. On a more personal note House Calls gave me something amazing, a friend, the brilliant and talented Gretchen Massey...

First it was Housecalls and now CBS is introducing Big Brother: After Dark.  Variety.com is reporting that Showtime will be featuring unedited Big Brother live feeds during the late night hours of the channel's programming.

The CBS summer staple is expanding in a big way for its eighth season, with the Eye planning to launch a spinoff series on one of its cable nets.

"Big Brother: After Dark" will feature a live, unedited feed from the "Big Brother" house. Skein will run three hours nightly from midnight until 3 a.m. ET/PT on ShoToo, Showtime's widely available companion net.

Big Brother 8 television schedule is revealed

Posted: 06/08/2007 10:19 PM  |  Posted by Matt

TheFutonCritic.com is reporting the new schedule for the BB8 season.  While we consider this website to be legitimate, we have yet to 100% confirm these dates and times.

"LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS has confirmed its rollout schedule for "Big Brother" while newcomer "Pirate Master" is being sent to Tuesday nights.

"Brother" will launch its eighth season on Thursday, July 5 at 8:00/7:00c with its Sunday and Tuesday editions due on July 8 at 8:00/7:00c and July 10 at 9:00/8:00c, respectively.

Said installments mirror its broadcast schedule from last summer, save for Tuesday nights where it aired at 8:00/7:00c instead of 9:00/8:00c.

As for "Pirate Master," the show's sixth episode will follow "Big Brother" at 9:00/8:00c on July 5 before it settles into its new Tuesday, 10:00/9:00c home on July 10."

New EW article says no big changes for BB8

Posted: 06/04/2007 11:39 PM  |  Posted by Matt

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, BB executive producer Allison Grodner said not to expect any big changes this season:

''Then it wouldn't be Big Brother,'' says Grodner. Expect the return of Julie Chen, the golden veto, twists like last year's sleep-deprivation graveyard, and more of that disgusting, lumpy gruel."

BB8 commercial fuels new season speculation

Posted: 05/27/2007 05:11 PM
  |  Posted by Matt

CBS is airing a new promotional commercial for BB8. While it did not give any specific details about the new season, many fans are analyzing the spot frame-by-frame hoping to pick up on some clues.

One quick sequence showed the houseguest picture wall with only 12 spaces. Will this year's house only have 12 houseguests? As you remember, last year's all-star house had 14 contestants.

Also, the commercial was filled with flamingos. Could this mean something or is it just part of the tropical "feel?"
